Nanny – FAIRFIELD, CT 5 yr old, 3 yr | old  Labradoodle $30-$40/hour | ASAP/Flexible Start

Start Date: Flexible | ASAP for the Right Candidate

Schedule – Two Options:
Option 1: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | 40 Guaranteed Hours/Week
Option 2: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM | 30 Guaranteed Hours/Week

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | Live-Out

Compensation: $30–$40/hour DOE | Guaranteed Hours | Paid Holidays | Paid Vacation | Paid Sick & Personal Days | Overtime as Applicable

About the Family

A warm family in Fairfield, CT is seeking an experienced, energetic, creative, and highly dependable Nanny to care for their two children, ages 5 and 3 .

The family lives in a beachfront home and is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being active with children, spending time outdoors, and creating engaging experiences through arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, outings, and age-appropriate activities .

Because the home is directly on the water, strong swimming ability is an absolute requirement for this position.

Their 5-year-old is described as charming, earnest, good-natured, loving, and highly perceptive, with a big vocabulary and a strong sense of rules and fairness. The child enjoys robots, cars, trucks, and spending time with the younger sibling.

Their 3-year-old is described as clever, funny, playful, sweet, silly, and full of personality. The child loves performing, making people laugh, animals, and keeping up with the older sibling.

Both children attend preschool, and depending on the selected schedule, the nanny may assist with school drop-off and/or pickup .

The family is looking for someone who will provide excellent childcare while also being willing to pitch in with child-related tasks, household organization, light housekeeping, errands, and activity planning.

Schedule Options

The family is open to two possible Monday–Friday schedules and is looking for the right candidate for either arrangement:

Option 1 – Full-Time

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
40 guaranteed hours per week

Option 2 – Part-Time

Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
30 guaranteed hours per week

The family is ready to hire as soon as they find the right person .

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and engaging care for two children, ages 5 and 3
• Assist with school drop-off and/or pickup , depending on the selected schedule
• Plan fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities
• Organize arts and crafts, projects, games, and imaginative play
• Read with the children and encourage learning through everyday activities
• Plan and participate in outings to parks, libraries, museums, and other age-appropriate destinations
• Arrange and accompany the children on playdates and outings
• Participate in and supervise children’s activities both at home and outside the home
• Prepare the children’s meals, lunches, and snacks
• Assist with meal preparation and planning for the children
• Tidy children’s areas and clean up after meals and activities
• Handle dishes as needed
• Complete children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting clothing away
• Keep children’s rooms, toys, clothing, and belongings organized
• Assist with household organization and light housekeeping
• Run family/child-related errands as needed
• Help plan children’s activities and schedules
• Drive the children safely to school, activities, playdates, and outings
• Actively supervise the children around the family’s waterfront property
• Swim confidently with the children
• Spend time outdoors with the children and be comfortable around sand, sun, and water
• Consistently follow appropriate sun-safety practices, including applying sunscreen

Ideal Candidate

• Several years of professional nanny experience
• Strong experience with toddlers and school-aged children
• Warm, nurturing, patient, and engaging
• Energetic and genuinely enjoys being active with children
• Strong and confident swimmer — required
• Comfortable swimming with and supervising young children around water
• Loves being outdoors and is comfortable working in a beachfront environment
• Creative and enthusiastic about arts, crafts, storytelling, imaginative play, and children’s activities
• Organized, proactive, and willing to pitch in
• Comfortable with light housekeeping and household organization
• Comfortable preparing children’s meals, lunches, and snacks
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Comfortable driving children as part of the position
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and trustworthy
• Comfortable working independently
• Mandarin Chinese is a plus, but not required

• Located in Fairfield, CT
• Two children: ages 5 and 3
• Live-Out position

• Choice of 40-hour or 30-hour weekly schedule
• Scheduled weekly hours are guaranteed
• Beachfront household

Compensation & Benefits

• $30–$40/hour DOE
• Guaranteed scheduled hours
• Overtime as applicable
• Overnight care, when requested: $200/night for 11:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Paid Holidays
• Two weeks (14 days) paid vacation per 12 months of service
• 7 additional paid days per year: 5 sick days + 2 personal days
